What closing costs do I pay as a home seller in Palm Beach County? 

Closing costs are negotiated between the buyer and seller.  However, most frequently the parties agree that the Seller of residential real estate in Palm Beach County pays the following:

  • Real Estate Commission
  • Buyer's title insurance
  • Documentary stamp tax on deed
  • Filing/Recording fee for deed
  • Assessment Search
  • Title search, title examination and closing fee
  • Express mail 
  • Seller's prorated portion of the taxes (from Jan. 1 to closing date)
  • Seller's prorated portion of the HOA or Condo fee
  • Payoff of the existing mortgage(s)/liens on the property
  • Recording fee for satisfaction of all mortgages/liens seller has on the property
  • Seller's attorney, if any
